Hi, thanks for the images. I can’t decide if I loved Donna Downey’s coffee journaling or the iPhoneography post better! Both were awesome and inspiring!
Love, love, love Kate Crane! Thanks for the vintage freebies.
Happy Anniversary.
Diana’s accordion book.
Garden Grunge integrates & stimulates my 2 retirement areas of interest: my altered art group & learning more about techniques & Master Gardeners – I just received my certification after a year of training, volunteer work & additional educational workshops.
Forgot to thank you for the free prints – already planning to use the butterflies in my cover for my class materials & last altered book.
I loved #4 The Art Journaling Video by Donna Downey. Thank you so much for the free clip art.
I really like them all but my favorite would be Donna’s really enjoyed watching the video!
Happy Birthday!
I really loved the Art Journaling post. I’ve been seeing art journals on blogs online but have never tried it myself. It looks like a great way to try new techniques and play with supplies that I usually don’t use.
I love anything Donna downey does-that was my favorite!
Happy Birthday! I really enjoy reading all that you have online. I especially liked watching Donna Downey’s video. I like to see how artists get the layered look in their projects. Keep up the great work!
Looks like I’m in good company with loving the washi tape post the most! Maybe because I have 2 drawers full of the stuff, so it’s always fun to see it used in a different way.
Looking forward to another year of beauty & fun!
I loved the distressing the crate with a whitewash of gesso and water. However, I enjoy all of your blogs and tutorials. They are so informative. Thank you for a great year of reading enjoyment!!
My fave is #8! I love to see shabby chic organizing ideas! Thanks for the chance to win!
Well, it would be a cross between Donna Downey (because I love her!) and the top 10 uses for washi tape. Can’t get enough washi!
I enjoyed the white washing technique. That look is so popular right now and looks great. It immediately caught my attention!
oooh, the shabby chic organizational tips are great too!
I’ve enjoyed many of the posts, but my favorite was Pam Carriker’s Part 1, using her new Portrait carved stamps for art journaling….just wonderful!!! Congrats on your first year, and thanks for the free images.
I have to say that I love the Dina Wakely Garden Grunge accordion book. I love the detail in the step out and how she describes the process to make the accordion book. That was a favorite that made it. Kat Kerr’s “ice resin accident” necklace was another that I loved!
The Donna Downey video and blog post were very inspiring! As are so many Somerset articles. I can’t wait until each new issue comes out. Though I can’t afford to buy them as often as I’d like, I sit in the book store and read them. They always send my brain whirling with ideas. Happy Birthday and many more to come!
Kate Crane! Something about her choice of colors, images and overall style just shouts to me. Thank you for the second look.
The Donna Downey video, that post sent me on a Donna Downey google search for more of her work and blog posts!
“Season’s Greetings!” I absolutely adore
your website and all of the magazines…I am constantly at our bookstore, purchasing the most current issues of several of your publications.
One of the most inspiring articles for me is the
“Art Journaling Video with Guest Artist Donna Downey!” Art Journaling is something I have wanted to attempt, and this article actually made me create a fun art journal with my friend!
Many thanks, Cindi
I’ve become a washi tape junkie! I loved the washi tape article. Cool stuff!

Thank you for the vintage digis! I’ve enjoyed all the inspiration this year, but I really enjoyed the pop crate project. I got one at our local thrift store and empty Starbucks Bottles fit in it perfectly to hold my treasures. I just didn’t know how I wanted to change up the crate..the whitewash technique is perfect!
Btw – Happy Anniversary. =)
Thanks so much for the free download of ephemera! My favorite blog post (I actually have three, but I’ll just mention one) was the tie one on day. I loved the retro aprons – they brought back fond memories of my mom who was always wearing one and cooking all day!
