Upcycled Household Item Instagram Challenge + Win GreenCraft Magazine

We’re overflowing with excitement from all the green-friendly ideas packed inside the pages of the upcoming August issue of GreenCraft magazine. Guest artist Sandy Hadland shows us how to upcycle t-shirts that became too comfy in her closet into a lovely layered scarf, and mixed-media artist Vesna Taneva-Miller makes use of paper bags by recycling them into quirky placemats and unique gift wraps.

If you’ve found your niche in the recycling realm, we want to give you the opportunity to get your green on. Have you created a unique eco-chic project from materials you already have on hand? We want to see what you can create using household items in your possession!

Coffee Filters

Artwork by:  Pam Garrison

Guidelines:

Send us an image (like the one above) of something creative and chic that you’ve repurposed from a household product like discarded coffee filters, an empty laundry detergent carton, or a burnt out light-bulb for a chance to be featured as a spotlighted artist in the month of August on our Instagram!

  • Send high-resolution images at 300 dpi to blog@stampington.com
  • Images chosen to be spotlighted in August on our Instagram page will be notified promptly via email

What’s in it for the winners?

  • Have your artwork featured on Stampington’s Instagram for exposure to almost two thousand followers.
  • Receive the brand-new issue of GreenCraft Autumn 2013 as our way of saying congratulations.
  • Have your artwork shown directly to the editor for a chance to be published in an upcoming issue of GreenCraft.

Deadline for submissions: August 1st, 2013

What’s on the horizon?

Get your watering cans out and get ready to grow even greener. We’ve just received news from our editors about a new section called Green Living sprouting up in future issues of GreenCraft – and we’re sharing the gossip-worthy details with you first! Dedicated to showcase eco-friendly items with a twist, this new section is sure to cultivate your earth-friendly ideas in an even greater way. Instead of focusing on 100% recycled or upcycled items, the Green Living column will spotlight all things that make up a green lifestyle.
