Your Story Matters
We recently asked our Facebook friends how Stampington has played a part in their artistic journey. We were thrilled to hear all of your creative and heartwarming responses — we just had to share some of our favorite ones!
Angela Grasse says:
“Of course Stampington has played a part in my story. I was delighted when I found my first Somerset Studio magazine many years ago. A new world opened up for me. I have learned a lot from Sew Somerset and your Art Journaling magazine. I have a nice collection of those magazines and will likely keep them forever. I love to let the techniques cross pollinate and flow from one art form to the other. A background painting technique that is used in an art journal often ends up being used on fabric. That fabric gets used in a larger art piece and the scraps get used in a journal. It is all one big happy play ground for me.”
Janet Forrest says:
“In early 2011 I had a crisis. I had sold my creative business in 2006 and it took me awhile to realize that I had shriveled up inside. Once I acknowledged that, a friend suggested I peruse the art section of the bookstore and see if anything spoke to me. I found two things that changed my life – Kelly Rae Roberts “Taking Flight” and a slew of Stampington publications. Across the board, the Stampington “look” is me. Now I am totally addicted, and your influence can be seen in nearly all my projects!”
Tanya Clarke says:
“Stampington magazines and all of the lovely artists featured have been my guides in finding my artistic voice. I feel a sense of belonging and community when I open up one up. To share in the struggles and triumphs that us artists face gives me strength and confidence in myself and my artistic adventure. To know there are like minded individuals out there that get that same a fluttery, happy feeling in their heart when they find an old chandelier or a faded piece of sheet music at a garage sale — thanks for the inspiration and bringing us crazy creators together in such a beautiful way.”
Karen Ricchio Itzenhuiser says:
“Life without art is empty. Many years ago I discovered a magazine that was so inspiring that I took the challenge and started to create. I have subscribed to Somerset Studio ever since that day. My creativity has expanded to many forms of art using several different mediums. Every free minute that I have, you’ll find me working on a piece of art. I love the journey that my art has taken me on and I am now confident enough to call myself an artist. Thank you Stampington for all the inspiration!”

All I can say is Wow! Thank you for chosing my response as one you are featuring. Getting published in one of the Stampington publications is one of my favorite dreams, but until I work up the courage to submit something, this is the next best thing. :)
Thank you Stampington for all you do! Great answers-for me you opened my world. I see green stars in everything. My family thinks I could be cursed. I explain to them it is a creative process-once they see your magazines, gather supplies and let their ideas wander-their muse will appear. “Imagination is the true magic carpet.”
