Halloween Apothecary Jars Project + 8 FREE Ephemera Downloads

Create these spooky apothecary jars for a Halloween party, or transform your bathroom for the season and store your bath and body products in them. I made a cinnamon-scented candle in one jar, which smells like fall and I filled the other with some bath bombs. These jars are perfect to decorate my guest bathroom and add an extra special touch for visitors. To celebrate Halloween, we’re offering a FREE ephemera download of these labels so that you can make your own ghoulish creations!

Directions:
Place all your materials on a safe surface. Try a non-stick craft sheet, wax paper, or an old wood chopping board. I added a half of bag of the beeswax pellets at a time, you can also use a block of beeswax. Dip the base of one of the wicks with clips into the wax and then stick it to the center of the bottom of the jar, holding in place with a clothespin.
Melt beeswax in a melting pot. If you’re creating larger candles you may need to use a saucepan or larger candle making heating device. Heat wax to 140-160 degrees, to help prevent cracks in the wax while it dries. Once the wax is melted, add 15-18 drops of essential oils, more or less depending on how strong of a scent you want. I used cinnamon leaf for this candle.
Gently pour the wax into the jar. The jar will be hot to touch, so make sure to have a pot holder or dish towel to handle and hold the tin in place while pouring the wax.
Cut out and adhere labels to amber glass bottle and jar with gel medium.

PS — Would really like to try making this candle. I love the amber jars, but the size of the jar isn’t included in the instructions. I went to the ordering page and just for the heck of it read the description; they all said the same thing and not one mentioned anything about being used for candles? Just wondering what the best size jar would be best. Thanks so much!!
