Pumpkin Soufflé Candles

Fall is just around the corner and the pumpkin spice is already starting to emerge again in your favorite lattes and foods. Create this lovely candle set to fill your home with the scents of Fall. These candles are simple to make and can be done during a girls’ night or craft afternoon. Package them to look like a tiny pumpkin, or set them out on a fireplace or side table to give your house an instant rustic aroma with notes of pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and sugary goodness.

Pumpkin Soufflé Candles

Pumpkin Soufflé Candle Supplies:

Instructions:

Heat 4 oz. of beeswax in a melting pot or double boiler at 147 degrees F.  When wax is completely melted, pour entire container of Pumpkin Soufflé Flavor Oil into the wax and stir completely.

Pour mixture into fluted tart tins and drop wick into candle. Allow to set for 1 hour or put in refrigerator to cool.

Packaging:

Stack candles on top of each other and tie together with orange ribbon. If the stack is unstable, you can wrap  a rubber band around first, then cover the rubber band with the ribbon.

Cut burlap into leaf shapes. If you need to tint the burlap, buy a natural color and use spray ink to tint the material. The burlap pictured is lime green, but toned down with Frayed Burlap spray ink by Tim Holtz.

Thread both leaf shapes onto rusty wire, thread wire underneath ribbon and twist in place, then wrap the ends of the wire around a paintbrush or pencil to create curls.

Fall Flavors Lip Balm Sampler

The weather is turning colder, the leaves are changing, and Fall is just around the corner. Treat your lips to the favorite flavors of the season with this sampler of lip balms that will last the entire season. From caramel to vanilla nutmeg, these lip balms will have your mouth watering.

Instructions:

  1. Combine 2 Tbsp. coconut oil and 2 Tbsp. beeswax pellets in a small, heat-resistant container.
  2. Place the container into a pan of hot water until the ingredients melt, stirring constantly with a spoon or fork. Wear an oven mitt to safely remove the container from the pot of water and place it on a heat-resistant mat.
  3. Ad 8-10 drops of lip balm oil and honey. Stir well.
  4. Use a pipette to fill each tube to the rim. Leave the cap off until completely cooled.
  5. For best results, allow the tubes to sit unmoved for 20 minutes after pouring so the mixture settles evenly. Place in refrigerator for an hour or let sit overnight before gifting.
  6. Wrap each tube with brown houndstooth washi tape.
  7. Wrap a length of twine around the washi tape and tie in place.
  8. Stick several strips of washi tape on corner of glassine bag and cover a clothespin with the tape.
  9. Add sentiment with stickers or a white marker to the bottom of the bag. Close bag with clothespin.
