Miss Witchy Poo Tag by Guest Artist Julie Nutting
Today’s post is by Guest Artist Julie Nutting. Somerset Place would like to thank her for her contribution and this amazing paper dolls project.
It’s that time of the year again where we love to craft things all creepy and scary. I prefer to keep my crafting girly and fun no matter the time of the year. For this tag we will be using my Mia stamp from Prima Marketing Inc and a paper collection from Graphic 45 called Raining Cats and Dogs which happened to come in the perfect Halloween colors!
Supplies Needed:
Miss Witchy Poo Stamp Prima # 910822
Hat Stamp Prima # 910822
Prima Marketing Skin Tone Alcohol Markers
Black cardstock
Paper with a neural text background
Glue Stick
3D Dots
Tacky Glue
Directions:
1. Gather supplies needed. I always like to lay out my stamps and papers that I want to use to make sure they all coordinate.
2. Stamp doll on neutral-colored paper with text. I used the Buff paper pad from Prima.
3. Color in hair and shoes with markers, colored pencils or whatever you’d like. Create a shadow on one side of the girl’s body with a skin tone alcohol marker. Cut out doll.
4. Stamp clothes and hat onto papers of choice and cut out. Glue clothes to doll.
5. I cut a 3 ½” x 8 ½” tag out of black cardstock. Clip the corners, punch hole in top. Use a border punch on bottom of tag.
6. Cut 3” x 6” rectangle of floral paper and a 2”x 5” rectangle of checked paper. Using scissors or paper distress tool, distress all edges.
7. Cut small flags from paper scraps and glue down all paper pieces as shown.
8. Stamp saying onto paper scrap cut out and glue down to black cardstock cut a bit larger than saying.
9. Arrange girl, saying and embellishments and glue down. I used 3 dimensional dots for girl and saying. Add some black Stickles to flowers and shirt ruffles. Tie ribbon through hole.

I love Julie and all her amazing doll products (as well as her books!) so I was super excited to see this project. I don’t go for super scary Halloween either so this is right up my alley. I need to look through my craft room and get to making some if these cute and bewitching tags! Thanks Somerset for profiling such a great artist!
Cute tag! I just happen to have the stamp already, yippee. Will be trying this one for sure!
Very cute. Can’t wait to start making this. Thanks for posting Julie Nutting & her fun project.
I love Julie Nutting stamps. My favorite is making gift tag/cards for family and friends. I’m sure I have this doll and hat….. need to go hunting in my craft room!
