Mixed-Media Journal Projects
We’ve collected a variety of mixed-media journal projects, and we’re showing you how to recreate each of these fresh ideas at The Studio. Here are five of our top picks (listed clockwise from top to bottom) that we hope will jumpstart your creativity, so you can soar to new heights in your next piece.
Mixed-Media Journal Projects:
- Soar Journal Project: created with Pam Carriker’s I Will Soar Cling Mount Stamps and one of my favorite blank canvases: a large, Kraft-colored Moleskine
- Personalize your journal by stenciling a monogram on a piece of vintage fabric that has been sewn onto its cover in this free journal project idea.
- Create pages that you can journal on AND that will hold all of your sentimental treasures and ephemera with the help of this Baggy Book journal project.
- Mixed-Media Birds Journal Project: highlights Dina Wakley’s new cling stamps and Roben-Marie’s fantastic line of Art Pops products
- Stamp “soar” on a canvas sheet, then adhere it to the cover of your art journal to inspire your free-flowing thoughts each and every time you open it.

organization and home decor
Either jewellery or organisation and home decor :o)
I’d love to see a stamping project – something that would look good in say, Take Ten. Something rather simple and not overworked.
I’m a fan of all those choices but I’d say something stitched or an artsy jewelry piece would be nice!
I love stamping projects and also mixed media so seeing can be added to a stamping project.
Darn auto correct! I meant to say sewing added to stamping would be ideal.
I’d love to see stamping creatively used in an art journal project.
Stamping please! It’s still my first love.
I would love to see something in Home Decor/Organization. That subject is not featured very often and I am always eager for new ideas.
I love tips on organization. I’m drowning in stuff!
something stitched that is not clothung; books, cards, jewelry, scarves, other wearable accessories, shoes, tablet/phone covers, home decor…
clothing not clothung! auwe. (Hawaiian for oy vey)
Something stitched would be wonderful!
Agh! I love them all! organizing is always an issue. jewelry is fun. it’s all good.
They are all wonderful topics but since I love to stamp, I think that I will choose stamping. Thanks for sharing.

All four sound great to me! But if I have to pick – let’s go with organization – my studio is a complete mess and needs a good spring cleaning!
Art jewelry would be great please.

I would like to see something stitched with the pattern included.
Stamping!!

I haven’t yet tried sewing added to stamping projects. I’d love to see that!
I would love to see jewelry making
Something Stitched, would be my preference, but combine 2 of the choices – maybe a Stitched Home Decor Item.
stamping or something stitched would be cool.
I’m always looking for new organization ideas!
I want to see C ;D
I would love to see some different techniques on stamping and craft organization would also be a big help for me in my craft room.
stamping would be my vote
I’m all about stamping! like to learn new technique or a new twist on an old technique.
